Established in November the year 1993, Northern California Construction Training, Inc. (NCCT) is a pre-apprenticeship training program building skills that help assist in preparing men and women for entrance into various construction trades and apprenticeship training programs.
(NCCT) is a non-profit, community-based organization and has a general contractor’s license. Their staff is carefully selected and are credentialed teachers/ trainers experienced in construction. Their staff is highly skilled and motivated to help apprentices reach their full potential.

During the process of the program, students undergo training in the classroom as well as hands-on experience in various construction trades. Work while under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter.

(NCCT) was configured to make well-paying careers in construction accessible to anyone with that desires to complete our program and partake in their apprenticeship training.
Since there are doors opened, NCCT has trained thousands of students in their adult programs, juvenile/youth programs, in-custody jail programs, probation/parolee programs are ROP high school programs.

When the training program is successfully completed by the student, he/she will be provided an opportunity of joining the construction trades apprenticeship training program of his/her choosing, when positions are accessible. These apprenticeships positions begin anywhere from $14.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on the trade & benefits.
NCCT’s program and curriculum have been approved by Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and are reviewed by SCOE and the NCCT Board of Directors quarterly. Their master Carpenter-Trainers will train you academically in the classroom.

- Modern Carpentry Textbook Units 1 thru 30
- Measurements and basic blueprint reading

- Development of proper work habits (i.e. strong work ethic, Drug -free, positive attitude, communication, time management abilities, problem-solving, self-confidence, and team player)
Preparation/ Requirments for apprenticeship entry exams
- Driver’s License
- GED preparation and testing
- Certificate-OSHA 10HR Safety, OSHA 40HR Hazwoper, OSHA 8HR Hazmat, and Forklift
- Aquapex, TracPipe, First Aid/CPR
- Random Drug Tests
