QUALIFICATIONS
Low: An Associate Degree with/or Professional Courses and Allied Web Developer Certification Courses in HTML/CSS scripting coupled with Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) languages for the web like PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript or Ruby on Rails, etc.;
On the Job Training (OJT), Apprenticeships, IT Workforce Job Training or Experience.
Medium: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with majors in Math including calculus, linear algebra, geometry, differential equations, etc. Web developer Certification Courses will be a big plus.
High: Post Graduation in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; with Web developer Certification Courses will be an added advantage.

SKILLS/ TRAITS NEEDED
The Web Developer must be detail-oriented with strong “hands-on” analytical, problem-solving, and OOPS concepts, designing and programming skills for the web, back-end database integration, excellent structured logical thinking, written and verbal communication, creativity, requirements gathering, time management, prioritization, inter-personal & soft-skills, and must be constantly updated with the latest IT trends and emerging technologies.
WORK FUNCTIONS
The Web Developer is responsible for creating website layout/ user interfaces using HTML/CSS, Flow-charts, and writing well designed, testable and efficient code in Java, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and PHP using industry-standard best software development practices; integrating the front-end with back-end services and databases of the internet, intranet i.e. web-based multi-tier application. They also gather application and user requirements, working closely with computer system analysts and architects, to provide optimized web solutions. They may sometimes be needed to work in shifts.
