The Transformation Education Institute is looking for educational and child-serving leaders who love presenting professional development workshops to join our Certified Presenters Team!
The Transformation Education Institute’s (formerly The Upside Down Organization, an affiliate of The Children’s Guild Alliance) goal is to “help adults help kids!” and has built its reputation on providing high-quality, dynamic learning experiences for child-serving professionals in the U.S. and abroad focusing on our Transformation Education philosophy and operation system for child-serving organizations. Transformation Education helps create a flexible, brain-compatible organizational culture that emphasizes the values, skills, and beliefs necessary for a successful life.
Our professional development experiences—our workshops—are our most popular service. The Transformation Education Institute offers outstanding experiences on the most relevant issues facing today’s teachers, parents and child-serving professionals. We call them “experiences” because we deliver our cutting-edge material in an active, engaging, “brain-friendly” manner that results in our participants “experiencing” rather than just receiving the exciting information we have to share.
We are currently booking online sessions and welcome the opportunity to partner with you in this new format. Connection is key—let us help you bring your team together even if everyone isn’t in the same place.
Transformation Education believes that the physical environment radiates powerful messages about the beliefs and values in a child-serving organization’s culture. Thus, the physical environment is a key – but often ignored – element of experiential learning that sets the tone for relationships, learning, and discovery. The physical environment either stimulates or suppresses the senses. It also creates expectations for student behavior and communicates the motivation and attitude of the staff towards the student’s discovery of learning.
The Transformation Education Institute (formerly UDO) seeks to share then inspire the use of experiential learning environments that support diverse teaching and learning styles and foster a sense of community among students. Our dynamic transformational environments serve as a strategy to increase student involvement both physically and emotionally. We provide designs that transform classrooms, cafeterias, libraries, hallways, gymnasiums, conference rooms, and all other educational and support spaces into three dimensional, multi-sensory environments that focus on interactive learning.
Our professional artists and designers provide colorful and creative interiors for educational settings, which nurture the natural curiosity in children of all ages, and encourage them to explore and interact with their surroundings. We provide friendly and welcoming entryways, special comforting spaces, and age appropriate classrooms that reinforce a positive attitude. For over fifteen years, our artistic team has successfully completed projects that change mundane settings into unique and imaginative spaces that offer children and youth an opportunity to develop a love of learning, and to help them build self-esteem within an atmosphere that fosters positive educational experiences.
Students working in these environments are motivated toward responsibility and self-discipline, and are empowered to make a commitment to their learning community. We also offer workshops where students work in collaboration with our artists to create unique, one-of-kind designs that allow self expression and promote school pride and ownership.
Many organizations discover that the more they learn about Transformation Education, the more interested they become in transforming their own organizational cultures. In addition to developing leaders, Transformation Education Institute provides consultation to organizations committed to transforming their cultures and improving the lives of the children they serve. Whether your organization wants to implement a specific tool like the culture card or a comprehensive integration of Transformation Education, we have the consultation expertise to teach you how to execute Transformation Education and provide the support you need to be successful.
Transformation Education promotes the creation of an organizational culture that transforms the thinking and behavior of child-serving professionals. Clear, passionate, strategic and visionary leadership is required to transform a culture. Transformation Education Institute’s leadership development consultation provides organizational leaders with the essential culture-change tools: gap analysis, culture identification, culture card, organizational architecture, leadership roles, and culture metrics. These tools are shared through individual and group learning experiences, personal coaching and technology-supported problem solving.

The Transformation Education Institute‘s (formerly the Upside Down Organization) Certification Program was introduced in 2010 for individuals and organizations interested in presenting stimulating, high-quality professional development experiences featuring brain research. After several years of fielding requests about replicating our workshops, the Institute was ready to partner with interested individuals to expand the delivery of its brain-based workshops nationwide and responded with the creation of the Certification Program.
Certification offers individuals and organizations the opportunity to be trained to provide the Institute’s most popular workshops, to be licensed to use our PowerPoint presentations and workbooks, and to be marketed to our existing clients.
If you are passionate about sharing brain-based research with education and human services professionals but don’t have the time to take a course or develop your own brain-based workshop, then certification might be for you. Certification is a great investment in your future as a speaker, presenter and staff developer. The Institute is known for its unique method of delivering cutting-edge workshops that leave participants highly satisfied and wanting more.
Certification consists of two parts or “modules.”
Once you’re certified, you’ll be offered a partnership with the Institute and will be licensed to use the slide presentations and workbooks for the workshops you’ve selected. The marketing partnership means we will market you for workshop bookings through our newsletters and website. We will advertise your services, collect feedback on your performances and advocate for you getting bigger and better opportunities as your skills develop.
Certification through the Transformation Education Institute is a very unique opportunity. In fact, we don’t know of anything else like it. In order to keep the modules highly-individualized, we limit registration to keep the class sizes small. If you are interested in learning more about the Certification Program and how you can become a part of this special group, please contact us.
At the Transformation Education Institute, we strive to provide the latest and greatest resources for parents, teachers and child-serving professionals. The world of neuroscience is continuously expanding and we will continue to work to provide new and relevant resources as we hear about them.
