Apex is an adult vocational technical school in New York City located in Long Island City, Queens. We offer job placement assistance, financial aid and work-study jobs to those who qualify.

Most of our trade school courses are available in day and evening options to fit your needs. There are seven 900-hour certificate courses designed to focus on giving you basic trade skills and labor skills to help you reach your goals in an entry-level position. All our vocational school programs offer hands-on training in as little as 7 months.

Our technical trade school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. We are also a member of the Career Education College and Universities and the Coalition of New York State Career Schools.

 

THE APEX CAMPUS EXPERIENCE

At Apex Technical School’s campus, students engage in focused programs on a specific technical trade. With at least 50% of student time spent in a shop setting, they have access to tools and equipment that provide a hands-on campus experience.

Q How do I protect myself from COVID-19?

Help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. To protect yourself and others:

Practice Social Distancing – Even if you feel well, stay at home as much as possible. In public, leave at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and Avoid unnecessary appointments.
Wash Your Hands and Cover Your Cough – Cover your cough and sneezes. Use your elbow or a tissue. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Take Caution with At-Risk New Yorkers – Take special caution to avoid exposing the elderly and people with underlying health conditions. Avoid visiting those most at risk—call instead. Offer help with groceries and other goods

During the COVID-19 crisis, veterans are making supportive check-in calls to other veterans through Mission: VetCheck. A collaboration between the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services, the Mayor’s Office of ThriveNYC, and veteran-serving organizations, these calls provide veterans with information about how to access vital public services, including free meals, COVID-19 test sites locations, and mental health resources.
